ROAD HOCKEY
Introduction:
Road hockey is a version of ice hockey play and is normally played without or with the skates. Road hockey is also referred as dek hockey, street hockey, ball hockey, or ground hockey. The game of Road hockey can be probably played with a ball or either with a puck, if the game is not played on ice a roller hockey puck is required.
Gameplay:
Road hockey is generally played with very low protective accessories. Hence, extreme physical contact is quite uncommon. The game allows a level of physical contact in a similar way, that is permitted in the game of basketball and body checks are avoided. To play the game on a street that is over frozen, an ice hockey puck can be very useful. The puck does needs to be raised in air. This is done as a safety measurement for the puck. The rules and regulations of the game may vary from place to place and it depends on the traditions and customs they have followed. The stick used in Road hockey is a unique stick. The stick consists of two major parts, the blade and the stick or shaft. Polyurethane is generally used to create the blade, similarly in the wheels of skateboards as well. Wood or aluminum is frequently used to make the shaft.
