About Field Hockey:

Tactics Employed:
Certain commands are used when the players maneuver and pass among themselves in presence other players. These commands help in ensuring the proper understanding of the play and the movement among the other hockey teammates. These commands change based on the nation in which the game is played. However, some commands are standard in nature. Some of these commands are the “straight” and “through”. “Square” or “Flat” indicates a pass, which is made from the left to the right of the player of field hockey, when the ball is at a right angle.

At the topmost level, hockey is a highly skilled sport and also, is a fast moving game in which the players have to employ fast moves, using the help of the stick. In addition, the hard hits and the quick accurate passing of the ball are essential, in an attempt of the maintenance of the possession and the movement of the ball to the goal. Obstruction of players during the play and the physical tackling of the opponent are discouraged outright. Despite this, the collision amongst players is a common occurrence. The speed of traveling of the ball needs padded shin guards, which would help in the prevention of injury. In addition, the other tactics which are employed are those, which have a close resemblance to football. In the case of field hockey, the same things happen at a faster rate. Most of the best players score and maneuver the ball more quickly, as it appears to the human eye.
